Our Story

I wear many hats—mother, educator, and storyteller. But the one that truly shaped this journey was simply being “Radhama.” When my little one was born, I wanted to introduce them to the joy of books right away, especially in our own language. I went hunting for board books in Indian languages, expecting to find treasures. Instead, I found… almost nothing. And the few I did find? The stories felt flat—too grown-up for kids or so disconnected that they just didn’t make sense.​Like many parents do, I sighed, put the books back, and wondered if I’d ever find something that would make storytime magical and meaningful. Then one day, my husband and I asked each other, why not create it ourselves? With our strong family roots in Tamizh and publishing, it suddenly felt less like an idea and more like a calling. If we, as parents, were struggling to find good-quality stories, surely other families were too.​That’s how Chintlu Books was born—not as a business idea, but as a love letter to our child, and to every parent who wants their little one to grow up with stories that feel familiar, fun, and full of heart. Today, every book we create carries that intention: to make bedtime sweeter, playtime richer, and childhood more colorful—one story at a time.
